Data is retrieved from BioQ using queries. For each database (the 1000 Genomes project, for example), BioQ provides both simple queries that require only the click of a button, and advanced queries written in conventional SQL format.  BioQ also provides some tools for querying specific genomic features such as SNPs, genes and genomic regions.
